અંબાલાલ પટેલે કહ્યું કે 28-29 જૂનથી ગુજરાતમાં ચોમાસાની શરૂઆત થેશે. 9થી 11 જૂન સુધી ગુજરાતમાં છૂટોછવાયો વરસાદ પડશે. પૂર્વ પટ્ટી, ઉત્તર ગુજરત, સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં પ્રિ મોનસુન એક્ટિવિટી શરૂ થઇ ગઇ છે.
આગામી 11 અને 12 જૂને ગાજવીજ સાથે વરસાદની વકી
અંબાલાલ પટેલે VTV સાથે વાતચીત કરતા જણાવ્ચું હતું કે, આગામી 11 અને 12 જૂને કેટલીક જગ્યાએ ગાજવીજ સાથે વરસાદ પડશે. 15થી 19 જૂને પણ ગુજરાતમાં કેટલીક જગ્યાએ હળવો વરસાદ થશે. જ્યારે મધ્ય અને પૂર્વ ગુજરાતમાં હળવા વરસાદની સંભાવના છે. સત્તાવાર ચોમાસુ બેચવાના હજુ 20 દિવસની વાર છે.
કેરળ બાદ ચોમાસુ વધી રહ્યું છે આગળ
કેરળ બાદ હવે ચોમાસું આગળ વધી રહ્યું છે. આગામી દિવસોમાં રાજ્યામાં વરસાદને લઈને હવામાન વિભાગ દ્વારા આગાહી કરાઈ છે પ્રિ-મોન્સુન એક્ટિવ થતા વરસાદ પડી શકે તેવું હવામાન વિભાગ દ્વારા અનુમાન લગાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. રાજ્યના મોટા ભાગના વિસ્તારોમાં વરસાદ પડે તેવી સંભાવના વ્યક્ત કરાઈ રહી છે.
પ્રિ-મોન્સુન એક્ટિવ થતા વરસાદની આગાહી
બે દિવસ પહેલા પણ રાજ્યમાં અનેક જિલ્લાઓમાં વરસાદ પડ્યો હતો જેને લઈ હવે ચોસમાસું આગળ વધે તેવું વર્તાઈ રહ્યું છે હવામાન વિભાગ આગામી 20 જુન સુધી ચોમાસું બેસે તેવું જણાવ્યું છે એ પહેલા પ્રિ-મોન્સુન એક્ટિવિટીને લઈને પણ રાજ્યના કેટલાક જિલ્લાઓમાં પવન સાથે વરસાદ પડી શકે છે. તેમજ વાદળછાયું વાતાવરણ જોવા મળી શકે છે.હવામાન વિભાગે સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં ત્રણ કે ચાર દિવસ સુધી વરસાદ પડે તેવું જણાવ્યું છે. જ્યારે ઉત્તર ગુજરાત અને દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં આગામી 48 કલાક વરસાદી માહોલ છવાયેલો રહે તેવું જણાવ્યું છે. સાથે જ ગાંધીનગર, અમદાવાદ, મહીસાગર, સુરત, તાપી, પંચમહાલમાં પણ વરસાદ પડે તેવી શક્યતાઓ જોવાઈ રહી છે.
કોરોના કાળમાં કેવી છે તંત્રની પ્રિમોન્સુન કામગીરી
એક તરફ કોરોના કાળ ચાલી રહ્યો છે ત્યારે બીજી તરફ ચોમાસું નજીક આવી રહ્યું છે ત્યારે કોરોના કાળમાં વરસાદને લઈને નાગરિકોને મુશ્કેલી ન પડે તેને લઈને શહેરમાં પ્રિ-મોન્સુનની કામગીરી કરવામાં આવી છે કે નહી તેને લઈ સવાલ ઉઠી રહ્યા છે. રાજ્યમાં એક કે બે ઈંજ પડેલા વરસાદ બાદ પણ કેટલાક વિસ્તારોમાં પાણી ભરાઈ ગયા હતા. વરસાદને કારણે કેટલીક જગ્યાએ વીજપુરવઠો પણ ખોરવાયો હતો તો વૃક્ષો પણ ધારાશાયી હતા જો કે કોઈ જાનહાનિ સર્જાઈ હતી. શહેરમાં ચોમાસાની સિઝન દરમિયાન અંડરપાસમાં પણ પાણી ભરાઈ જતા હોય છે જેને કારણે વાહન ચાલકોને મુશ્કેલીનો સામોન કરવો પડતો હોય છે.
ચોમાસામાં અંડરપાસનું મોનિટરિંગ કરવું તેમજ ચોમાસામાં ટ્રાફિકવ્યવસ્થાપન કરવું સાથે જ ડ્રેનેજની લાઈનો સાફ કરવા સહિત પ્રિ-મોન્સુનની કામગીરી કરવામાં આવતી હોય છે પરતું ચોમાસામાં તંત્રની પોલ છતી થતી હોય છે. આ વખતે કોરોનાને કારણે ચોમાસા પહેલા કરવામાં આવતી પ્રિ-મોન્સુન કામગીરી પર પૂરતું ધ્યાન અપાયું છે કે નહી તેને લઈને પણ તંત્ર સામે સવાલો થઈ રહ્યા છે.પ્રિ-મોન્સુનની કામગીરીને તંત્ર સામે ઉઠ્યા સવાલો

- 8થી 21 જૂન દરમિયાન સૂર્ય મૃગશીર્ષ નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, પવન-બફારો, ક્યાંક વરસાદ.
- 22 જૂનથી 5 જુલાઈ સુધી સૂર્ય આદ્રા નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, વરસાદ મધ્યમ પડે.
- 6થી 19 જુલાઈ સુધી સૂર્ય પુનર્વસુ નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, પવન સાથે સારો વરસાદ પડે.
- 20 જુલાઈથી 2 ઓગસ્ટ સુધી સૂર્ય પુષ્ય નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, છૂટોછવાયો વરસાદ થાય.
- 3થી 16 ઓગસ્ટ સુધી સૂર્ય આશ્લેષા નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, વરસાદ સારો થાય.
- 17થી 29 ઓગસ્ટ સુધી સૂર્ય મઘા નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, તોફાની પવન સાથે ભારે વરસાદ પડે
- 30 ઓગસ્ટથી 12 સપ્ટેમ્બર સુધી સૂર્ય પૂર્વા ફાલ્ગુની નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, સારો વરસાદ થાય.
- 13થી 26 સપ્ટેમ્બર સુધી સૂર્ય ઉત્તરા ફાલ્ગુની નક્ષત્રમાં રહેશે, વરસાદ સારો થાય.

Union Earth Science Minister Harsh Vardhan last Monday launched a government mobile application with the intention of tackling weather challenges in a timely manner, which will provide weather forecast information for almost every city in the country. The app will provide accurate information to the general public including weather, temperature, rain, wind speed, air humidity. According to the government, the app will start releasing weather forecast reports for around 450 cities in India in the next seven days. 24 hour weather forecast will be given on this app.
Cyclonic storm Tauktae has intensified into a “very severe" cyclonic storm, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday morning. Cyclone Tauktae is likely to cross the Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva (Bhavnagar district) around early morning on May 18.

The Mausam app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This mobile app is jointly developed by International Crop Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune and Indian Meteorological Department. Speaking on the occasion of the app launch, Minister Harshvardhan said that huge investment is needed to replace the new device, computer related resources to make the weather update accurate. He said the investment should be at least double the current budget. Explain that till now there was no special mechanism for daily updates regarding weather forecast in the country. In such cases, people had to resort to the reports of private institutions, which did not provide weather updates for every single city. In this case, the official new Mausam app can get rid of this problem.
