Now people can do Corona examination themselves at home, ICMR approval of home testing kit

Now people can do Corona examination themselves at home, ICMR approval of home testing kit

The Indian Council for Medical Research has emphasized the importance of rapid antigen testing for Covid-19, saying that people with symptoms of coronary heart disease and those who come in contact with patients who tested positive for Covid-19 should be tested for Covid-19 at home.

According to a new ICMR consultation, people who test positive for a rapid antigen are considered Covid-19 positive and do not need to be tested again.

The ICMR says, "People who have corona symptoms should use the Rapid Antigen Kit at home. Don't test without thinking."

"But people who have corona symptoms and are negative for a rapid antigen test should have an RT-PCR test immediately. This is because we have seen that patients with a low load of the virus cannot be confirmed with a rapid antigen test for Covid-19. However, patients with corona symptoms should follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and be treated as a suspicious patient.

How dangerous is it for India to need smartphones, internet for Corona vaccine?

'Corona snatches relatives, hurricane snatches home'

The threat of hurricane Yas on India after Tauqte, will reach India from 23-25 May

The ICMR says that the Rapid Antigen Test Kit has all the details regarding its use, it should be read and followed.

ICMR says it also has a mobile app that provides home testing information on the Google Play Store and Apple Store. It can be used by home inspectors.

According to the ICMR, all home inspectors can register themselves by uploading a picture of the test to the app through a mobile phone.

ICMRA said the data will be on a secure server linked to ICMR's Covid-19 testing portal. All data is collected here and the privacy of patients will be maintained.

ICMR has approved Covishelf (Pathocatch) Covid-19 OTC LF device of Mylob Company, Pune.

Corona can now be tested at home. ICMR has approved one kit. This kit will be able to take samples for corona test from the nose at home. ICMR has also issued advisory on Corona test kits.

Home testing is for symptomatic patients only, ICMR said. This is not for those who have been in direct contact with the confirmed case in the lab. Home testing requires downloading a mobile app from Google Play Store and Apple Store.

Positive or negative report will be received through mobile app. Those who will do the testing will have to take a test strip photo and take a picture from the phone on which the mobile app will be downloaded. Mobile phone data will be stored directly on ICMR's testing portal. But the patient's privacy will remain the same. Anyone who reports positively through this test will be considered positive. No other test will be required.

Hasmukh Rawal, MD, Mileb Discovery Solutions, said the test kit would be available in a week. It has taken us 5 months to prepare this product. It is priced at Rs 250 per kit. This also includes taxes.

The mobile app has to be downloaded from the Apple Store

The advisory states that home testing is for symptomatic patients only. Also those who have been in direct contact with the conform case in the lab. The home testing will be done in the manual manner prescribed by the company. For home testing, you have to download the mobile app from Google Play Store and Apple Store. Positive and negative reports will be available through the mobile app.

Who can check

Following the approval, the ICMR has issued an advisory on the investigation, saying that those who are experiencing symptoms and are currently exposed to the infection should be tested. The ICMR also said that an inquiry cannot be advised without a reason.

The report can be obtained from this system

Those who will do home testing will have to take a test strip photo and take a picture from the phone which is an app download in mobile. Data on mobile phones will be stored directly on ICMR's testing portal. The patient's privacy will remain the same. Those whose report is positive through this test will be considered positive. They do not need any other test.

This is also the rule

Those who are positive will have to follow the guidelines of ICMR and the Ministry of Health regarding home isolation. Patients with symptoms will have to undergo RTPCR if the result is negative. All rapid antigen negative symptomatic people will be considered a suspected covid case and will remain in home isolation until the RTPCR results.

Picture of the virus: This is what the Corona variant of the second wave in India, UK-Canada looks like, for the first time.

Picture of the virus: This is what the Corona variant of the second wave in India, UK-Canada looks like, for the first time.

The first image of the second wave Corona variant B.1.1.7, which has wreaked havoc in India, the UK and Canada, has surfaced. It clearly shows how it sticks its thorny protein layer with our cells. This same strain has made the second wave of corona virus very strong in many countries of the world. Researchers in Canada have released the first molecular image of this variant.

The WHO announced a B.1.1.7 variant of the corona virus in mid-December last year. At the same time, he said, there have been countless mutations within the virus. This mutation is so dangerous that it makes people's health worse.]

Picture of a new variant discovered by UBC

Researchers at the University of British Columbia (UBC) say that after coming across the molecular image of the B.1.1.7 corona variant, it is known why it spreads so many transitions. This image is of near atomic resolution. This means that virus particles are also appearing in the resolution of this image. The leader of the UBC research team, Dr. Shriram Subramaniam has observed a special type of mutation within the variant of B.1.1.7 Corona. Its name is N501Y. This mutation is visible on the thorny protein layer of this variant. Because of this thorny protein layer, the corona virus easily penetrates or sticks to human cells.

Dr. "The N501Y mutation has also been seen for the first time in the picture we have taken," Shriram said. This is a very good research. This is the only mutation that is a layer of thorny protein on the variant of B.1.1.7 corona. This layer attaches itself to the ACE2 receptor located above the human cells. The ACES receptor is a thin layer of enzyme on our cells. The corona virus makes this its own entry gate.

The virus is 1 million times smaller than the citation tip

Research has shown that this corona virus is one million times smaller than the top of the citation. The virus is not visible under a plain microscope. If you want to see a strain of Corona virus or its tiny particles, you have to look at it with a Cryo-Electron Microscope. It is also called cryo-EM. The size of this microscope is approximately 12 feet.

Dr. When examined with cryo-EM, the sample is kept at a temperature with liquid nitrogen, says Shriram. A bright ray of electrons is then emitted under a microscope. This ray also captures the smallest pathogens, such as the corona virus. B.1.1.7 Microscopy in the image of the corona variant also shows how N501Y mutation human cells attach to the ACE2 receptor.

The vaccine succeeded in inactivating the virus

Dr. "It is true that N501Y penetrates our body very quickly," Shriram said. But the good thing is, it also inactivates our body's antibodies and the antibody elements that develop after vaccination. It also eliminates mutations in the B.1.1.7 Corona variant. Dr. Shriram said that the exit picture of the Corona variant B.1.617 which is currently running in India will be ready by the end of May. In the meantime we will take pictures of the variants of Brazil, South Africa and California.

It is necessary to study molecular images

It is very important to study the molecular images of different corona variants. To find out which part of the virus can be eradicated by damaging it. Or what steps can be taken to prevent or reduce its transmission. Dr. Shriram said that the variant of B.1.1.7 Coro has now spread to the UK, India and Canada.

After drawing a picture of India's Corona variant B.1.617, Indian scientists will be given full information about it. So that he can help treat them. They can make a vaccine that will free the people of India from infection or infect fewer people. This will take some time though.

The first image of the corona virus

The corona virus has claimed the lives of millions of people worldwide so far. The virus is believed to have spread from Wuhan, China. Corona virus spread in India at the end of March. At that time, the first image of the corona virus was discovered by the scientists of the Indian research institute ICMR. Indian scientists also released his microscopy image. The virus was clearly visible in it. This image was discovered by taking samples from the first three patients of Corona in India. All three patients recovered. But research was done on the samples that were taken from them. The three patients came to India in January 2020 from Wuhan, China.

PCR game crushing the toughest diseases with your molecular biology skills

Test your PCR knowledge with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s lab game – PCR Quest – where you travel from lab to lab crushing the world’s toughest diseases. Perfect science game for adults.

Plan your moves by matching 3 or more viruses and bacteria in a row to crush a disease. Use your lab supply boosters—dry ice, petri dishes and isolated DNA to overcome those extra elusive bugs. The more diseases you crush the higher your score.

Matching Viruses and Bacteria:
When four viruses or bacteria of the same color form a match and the direction of the last swap is horizontal this special virus is created. When this new virus forms a match, it will crush all the blocks in that same row. Four viruses of the same color form a match in a vertical pattern a special vertical virus is created as well. And when that virus forms a match it will crush all the blocks in that same vertical column.

If you match 5 viruses of the same color together a special crushing virus is formed that eliminates all other surrounding viruses.

Chain Reactions:
Forming matching viruses or bacteria in an “L” or “T” shaped pattern created a chain reaction. This is identified by a multicolored object with the game. When this is swiped with any adjacent virus or bacteria a chain reaction is formed and eliminates those viruses.

Special Bacteria:
Tiles are not affected by gravity and cannot be moved or swapped to make a match. These include thermal blast, extraction and cycler.

PCR Powers:
Are available from the controls station located at the bottom of the game screen.

Natural Ways to Improve Oxygen Levels to beat corona

Natural Ways to Improve Oxygen Levels to beat corona

Remdesivir (Veklury) was the first drug approved by the FDA for treating the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is indicated for treatment of COVID-19 disease in hospitalized adults and children aged 12 years and older who weigh at least 40 kg. The broad-spectrum antiviral is a nucleotide analog prodrug.

Full approval was preceded by the US FDA issuing an EUA (emergency use authorization) on May 1, 2020 to allow prescribing remdesivir for severe COVID-19 (confirmed or suspected) in hospitalized adults and children.  Upon approval of remdesivir in adults and adolescents,

How is blood oxygen level measured?
The most efficient way to monitor blood oxygen levels is by an arterial blood gas or ABG test. For this test, a blood sample is taken from an artery, usually in the wrist. This procedure is very accurate, but it can be a little painful.

An ABG test can be difficult to do at home, so a person may wish to do an alternative test, using a small device known as a pulse oximeter.

A pulse oximeter is a small clip that is often put on a finger, although it can also be used on the ear or toe. It measures blood oxygen indirectly by light absorption through a person’s pulse.

Although the pulse oximeter test is easier, quicker, and not painful, it is not as accurate as the ABG test. This is because it can be influenced by factors such as dirty fingers, bright lights, nail polish, and poor circulation to the extremities.

Low blood oxygen levels can result in abnormal circulation and cause the following symptoms:

  • shortness of breath
  • headache
  • restlessness
  • dizziness
  • rapid breathing
  • chest pain
  • confusion
  • high blood pressure
  • lack of coordination
  • visual disorders
  • sense of euphoria
  • rapid heartbeat
  • Causes

Hypoxemia, or oxygen levels below the normal values, may be caused by:

not enough oxygen in the air
inability of the lungs to inhale and send oxygen to all cells and tissues
inability of the bloodstream to circulate to the lungs, collect oxygen, and transport it around the body

Why is this medication prescribed?

Remdesivir injection is used to treat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19 infection) caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus in hospitalized adults and children 12 years of age and older who weigh at least 88 pounds (40 kg). Remdesivir is in a class of medications called antivirals. It works by stopping the virus from spreading in the body.

Remdesivir injection may cause serious reactions during and after the infusion of the medication. A doctor or nurse will monitor you carefully while you are receiving the medication. Tell your doctor or nurse immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms during or after the infusion: chills or shivering; nausea; vomiting; sweating; dizziness upon standing up; rash; wheezing or shortness of breath; abnormally fast or slow heartbeat; or swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, or eyes. Your doctor may need to slow down your infusion or stop your treatment if you experience these side effects.

the EUA was updated to maintain the ability for prescribers to treat pediatric patients weighing 3.5 kg to less than 40 kg or children younger than 12 years who weigh at least 3.5 kg

Remdesivir is an investigational drug being studied to treat coronavirus infection, also known as COVID-19. It has not been approved by the FDA for general use. However, the FDA is now allowing remdesivir to be used in human studies and for emergency use in certain hospitalized patients. More information should be provided by the doctor from either the Informed Consent form for a study or the FDA Fact Sheet for Patients and Parents/Caregivers for emergency use. There is limited information known about the safety and effectiveness of using remdesivir to treat COVID-19. Some study results show that remdesivir may help some patients get better sooner. The information in this document reflects preliminary and emerging data, which is evolving and subject to reassessment. Users should be aware of these considerations in their review of investigational drug data, and it is always the responsibility of treating practitioners to exercise independent judgment in making care decisions.

How should this medicine be used?

Remdesivir comes as a solution (liquid) and as a powder to be mixed with liquid and infused (injected slowly) into a vein over 30 to 120 minutes by a doctor or nurse in a hospital. It is usually given once daily for 5 to 10 days. The length of your treatment depends on how well your body responds to the medication.

Other uses for this medicine

The FDA has approved an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to allow children weighing 8 pounds (3.5 kg) to less than 88 pounds (40 kg) or children less than 12 years of age weighing at least 8 pounds (3.5 kg) who are hospitalized with severe COVID-19 to receive remdesivir.

This medication may be prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.
